Say Hello to Our New Social Media Manager!

We’ve got some exciting news—there’s a new voice behind PPWV’s posts, stories, and reels, and trust us, you’re going to love her!

Meet Brittany Mackey, born and raised in Buckhannon, WV. She’s a licensed cosmetologist by day at Salon Meraki (master of all things hair and skin) and now, our official hype-woman for all things PPWV online. She’s been obsessed with cameras and creativity since she was a kid—organizing “modeling shoots” with her friends long before Instagram was even a thing.

So what made her say yes to PPWV?

“Being behind and in front of a camera has always been exciting to me, and when they offered me the opportunity, I was thrilled to be part of something I truly enjoy doing.”

Her mission? Keep our feeds fresh, fun, and interactive. Brittany isn’t here to chase numbers—she’s here to build connections. She wants to grow our community by sparking conversations, creating content you’ll actually want to engage with, and showing the world just how awesome PPWV really is.

Her hot take on what photographers get wrong on social media:

“Too many focus on likes and followers instead of genuine engagement. A loyal audience is worth way more than a big follower count.”

💡 Pro tip from her: Right now, posts people can interact with are what’s pulling in the best engagement. So don’t just post pretty—post something that invites people to join in.

Looking ahead? She’s planning to get members involved with some pretty cool ideas for 2025 and 2026. (You heard it here first—time to dust off your best shots!)

And because we had to ask—coffee, tea, or hustle?

“Straight hustle. I have stomach issues so I can’t do much coffee or tea. Sweet tea occasionally, but that’s about it—haha.”

So if you see PPWV getting a little bolder, brighter, and busier online, you know who to thank. Drop Brittany a welcome in the comments and get ready for a fun ride ahead. 🚀
